Mike Laure (born Miguel Laure Rubio) began his career as one of Mexico's pioneering rock & roll musicians, but he later put his own spin on the sound by adding elements of cumbia to his songs, and his distinctive style earned him the nickname "El Rey del Trópico." Lo Mejor de Mike Laure is a compilation that brings together 15 of Laure's biggest early hits. Selections include "Mazatlan," "El Mochilon," "Veracruz," "La Banda Borracha," "Tabaco Mascao," and ten others.
