“A written complaint was filed by the director of Mission Raniganj regarding non-payment of his dues of Rs 33.13 lakh from Vashu Bhagnani last year in March. We’ve been following up with Pooja Entertainment but still they haven’t made the payment. They have said by July end they will clear the dues,” Tiwari told PTI.

He added, “In February they sought time to pay citing Jackky Bhagnani’s wedding via an email dated February 20, 2024 to IFTDA and later they didn’t reply. After FWICE wrote them a letter in March 2024, they again sought time to make the payment saying they would do so after the release of their film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, again that has not happened.”

My family has grown from 4 to 400 in 25 years: Vashu Bhagnani
Over two decades, Vashu Bhagnani has produced 25 films under his banner Pooja Entertainment & Films Ltd. “When I began with my first film, Coolie No. 1, I thought to myself that if I could make 5-10 films here, that would be a lot. But, when we were making Youngistaan, we found out only much later that it was our silver jubilee product,” says the producer.
Vashu, who even held a party on the occasion, says that he considers the industry his family today.“I came to Mumbai from Kolkata in 1989 with a family of four. Today, it has grown to over 400, all of who were present at the party. I never realised when my family grew so big,” he says.
