    I was looking on Pinterest the other day, specifically for my project research, trying to find ideas for my experimental work. I searched &#;Biro drawings&#; as I knew that I wanted to create a Biro portrait, also I had never done a drawing in biro before so I wanted a template for the drawing. Whilst I was looking at this, I also looked at &#;Mental health&#; on Pinterest in order to get a range of ideas, based on more than one form of material.

    Here are some of the pictures that I had found:

    I really liked these pictures, particularly the last two pictures, as I feel that they would represent my topic really well with showing some aspects of order and chaos within them as well, also with the materials used. If I were to incorporate similar pieces of work into my sketchbook, I would use acrylic paint for the last one, with either biro or pencil. Looking at these, I would like to try doing a portrait on top of newspaper, as I was thinking of ways to get typography within my work without having to write or stencil it in somehow.

    I will look at creating some work along the lines of these images throughout my project.

    A skilful artist has brought his selfies to life - by sketching himself into the picture to make the photographs look like paintings. 

    Sebastien Del Grosso, 33, from Paris, first came up with the idea when he wanted to update his Facebook profile picture and has since developed a quirky collection of images.

    After taking a self-portrait, the digital artist started to sketch himself into the picture. 

    But rather than completely transforming his pictures into a complete sketch, the artist only partially adapted the original pictures, creating an interesting composite effect.

    This is then used to make the photographs appear in part like black and white paintings.
