    TONY EASTLEY: The public servant at the centre of the Ozcar affair has finally broken his silence, admitting he faked the email which has caused so much political trouble for the Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull.

    Godwin Grech, the Treasury official in charge of the car financing fund has told News Limited newspapers that he forged an email purportedly from the Prime Minister's office and showed the forgery to the Opposition Leader.

    Mr Grech is currently undergoing psychiatric care in Canberra.

    NAOMI WOODLEY: Godwin Grech has been in a Canberra psychiatric ward since giving his explosive evidence to a Senate inquiry in June.
