    GEORGE, Barbara Ann - Passed away peacefully surround by family by her side and in the arms of her daughter Joanne. Barbara passed away at the age of 66, on Dec 2, 2011 at the St Joseph's Auxiliary Hospital in Alberta. To God we gently pass a dear wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend. Barbara leaves behind her daughter Joanne, son Chris, son-in-law Roland, her two grandsons Austin and Wyatt Martin. Her mother Catherine Daigle, sister Joan (Roy) Brideau , brother Tommy (Kathy) Daigle and all of her extended family and friends. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2011 11:00 a.m. at Good Sheppard Catholic Church 18407-60 AVE Edmonton, Alberta. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in support of the St Thomas More Junior High school shave to save campaign in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation, Suite # 1502 Collage Plaza 8215-112 street, Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8.     Barbara Ann Williams
    1953-2020

    It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Barbara Ann Williams, surrounded by her husband and family on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. 

    She was born on February 19, 1953, in Edmonton, Alberta, to Jack and Bessie Ann MacKay. She married Gilbert Williams on August 31, 1974. 

    She leaves behind her loving husband Gilbert of 45 Years, children; Romayne Jesse, Amber Mindus, and Clayton (Katerina) Williams, granddaughters; Serenity, Jaida, Rebbecka, and Tinah; grandsons; Titan, Hudson, and David; great-grandchildren; Zane, Miles, Isaac, and Eryn, as well as numerous extended family and close friends.

    She loved to cook, sew, crocheting, painting, and playing crib with Gilbert. She loved and cared for her family and her many dear friends whose hearts she touched. She will be greatly missed.

    A private family service was held in Athabasca on Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the Athabasca, Community Chapel. A public celebration of life will take place at a later date.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society of Alberta, and the Cross Cancer Institute.
